Dear Onyx Friends,
Onyx Fine Arts Collective is super excited about a few things we have done in the past few weeks. The Grand Opening of a new fine art gallery in the historical Central District, at 23rd and Union with Arte Noir in the Midtown Square building. The opening reception was held September 17th and it was an amazing event by all the feedback we received. Our doors are now open throughout the week Tuesday thru Saturday and volunteers ready to help with showcasing these artists pieces that are depicted in our "Truth B Told II" publication and the sales of their works.
The future in store for our two galleries will display the creative talent of the African descent artists, photographers, sculptor's and craftspeople residing in our Pacific Northwest communities from Alaska to Portland and beyond.
We are also very happy and proud to announce the recent additions of a few talented and skilled members to our Board of Directors. Maria McDaniel, Elizabeth McDaniel, Ben Ruffins and Sharon Sobers-Outlaw. I would be remiss not to mention a few additional volunteers who have graciously committed their personal time to help us in this new adventure we have undertaken.
So, come celebrate these beautiful exhibits with us and if so inclined, make a purchase of the art you like. Make a personal statement in your home or office and support our creative community of artists. We look forward to seeing you in either Gallery Onyx before their respective exhibits end and new exhibits are started.
