voices of the enslaved. 

Lisa Myers Bulmash is a mixed media artist who works primarily in acrylics, paper and ephemera. She creates small-scale assemblages from upcycled cigar boxes, using family and vintage photos as the focal elements in evocative, cave-like works. Lisa also layers color, texture and three-dimensional details onto painted-over portraits of early 20th century women and men.
