2011 Jurors
Rosita Romero, Mercer Island resident, earned her BA in Colombia, South America and an M. Ed from University of Washington. She has been a Community College teacher trainer and an art gallery owner and director for over 15 years. She currently serves as a board member with Artist Trust and has been appointed by the Mayor of Seattle for a second term to the Museum Development Authority with the Seattle Art Museum.
She is the cofounder of Viva la Música Club, a Latino community engagement group at the Seattle Symphony and the Seattle Opera and a Cofounder of Mujeres of the Northwest, a professional Latina support group to foster community involvement and social responsibility. She is an art docent at the Seattle Art Museum (SAM/SAAM/OSP) and at the Seattle Conservatory. (Appointed September 2006 through July 2012)
Davida Ingram is a Chicago-born and Seattle-based writer, performance artist and cultural worker. She is currently the Manager of Teen, Family & Community Programs at Seattle Art Museum.
Previously she has worked at the Chicago community-based arts organizations Video Machete; Women in the Director's Chair and Insight Arts. Along with museum studies, Davida's areas of interest are cross-cultural connections, conceptual art, popular education and theater, queer theory and women's studies and new media.
